News

Hello everyone,

Things are going well. We seem to be riding high through this recession (knock on wood). I still have my job, we negotiated a lower rent for our new apartment, prices of goods and services are falling, and our house in Kanata seems to be keeping its value. Seems like a good deal to me.

If you want a hot investment tip, buy real estate in Ottawa. In my worldly travels, I still think Ottawa has kick ass potential for real estate. The houses are affordable and new. The economy is strong because of good business and lots of government employees.

My fingers are still crossed that all goes well with my green card application in May. I should have no problem actually getting it... the question is whether or not I will be forced to go back to Canada for a few weeks while it processes (which would be very expensive). Please wish me luck on that.

My boss keeps mentioning possibly sending me to Redmond, USA for a few weeks - which would be nice. I need to meet some of my overseas colleagues mostly just so we can work together more effectively. I hope I get to go :)

Hope everyone is doing well.

Prague trip

Back from our trip to Prague, CZE.

Lots of fun. Jewels finished her half marathon. I drank lots of cheap beer.
Good times.

Here are some pictures. I had to chase Jewels on the subway to get these pictures of her running. It was kinda fun actually :)

We mostly just walked around the city looking at the cool buildings. The churches there are massive. I'm talking a football field long, with ceilings 90 feet high. There are several of these massive churches spread throughout the city.

You can drink on the street in Prague which is neat too. I really wish you could do that in Canada and Ireland. I didn't see any problems because of it. It's a great feeling to be drinking a cold beer on a warm day while snapping photos of your wife running a marathon :)
